Destroying College Sports From the Inside!

We have all been following the merry-go-round of our Division I College teams. No school seems secure in any of the Major conferences. When tradidion plays money, tradition always loses! How sad. When I grew up our college conferences were sacrosanct! We believed in them and them served us. In the present atmosphere money is king! And who controls the money? Why the TV networks, of course! We have all wittnessed the erosion of sports reporting to the dull, “know-nothing” reporters that pass for “news” today. We tolerate them, because there is no alternative. They are all bad (or worse!) Now we have schools chasing the money and destroying their own fan-base. Teams will actually have to travel over two or more timezones on a regular basis to play conference games. Schools that have no history will be reborn as traditrional foes. The only conference that is seemingly bucking the trend is the Big-10. They have added just one school and a natural fit to their league. What can we do about it? Nothing! It will all playout as the money dictates and sports other than Football will eventually reform in the local leagues. It is sad, but that’s the way it is!
