After two weeks of the NFL season being played. There are eight teams that are 2-0 there are 8 teams that are 0-2 and there are 16 teams that are 1-1. After two games that is not really surprising. Although it does make some nice symmetry. Adding the winners and the losers together gives us the mediocre 16 teams.

The interesting part of this is some of the different teams that occupy the slots. Who would have thought that Chicago, Tampa Bay and Kansas City would be three of the undefeated teams after two weeks and that Minnesota, Dallas and San Francisco would be three of the teams with a goose egg in the win column. I know that I would not have thought that to start the season. There are a few teams that are no surprise. Buffalo, Detroit, Cleveland and St. Louis were expected to be on the bottom end. Green Bay, New Orleans, Pittsburgh were expected to be on the top.

So what does this tell us about the season? Nothing really. There is a lot of time left to have the losers win and the winners lose. Two games into the NFL season is the equivalent of around 20 games into the MLB season. So is baseball terms we are not even out of April yet. It is not time to give up and it is not time to celebrate yet.
