And now on to the Super Bowl. It was an amazing season of football in the NFL this year. The stage is set for Super Bowl 50. The way the NFL is promoting it you would think that prior to 50 years ago there was no football. The Panthers and Broncos are set to clash in a mega show down for the championship of the world. Well that championship of the NFL. Since the game is only between teams in the USA you can’t really be the champions of the world. Well maybe you can. I guess it is true if you say so. Besides you can find it on the internet so it has to be true.
32 teams started the season with dreams of making it to the Super Bowl. Maybe not all 32 teams though they could make it to the Super Bowl or even the playoffs. Most hard core fans always think that their team has a chance to make it to the ultimate game. I don’t blame fans for that at all. Since only two teams can make it there are only two fan bases that were correct each year. This year the Broncos and Panthers fans get to bask in the glow of the Super Bowl dream.
The Broncos have the best defense in the league this year. The Panthers have the best offense. So how is this going to play out? The Broncos took it to the Patriots offense in the AFC championship game. It was one of the best designed and executed defensive game plans I have seen in a long time. It will be extremely difficult to do this again. The Panthers offense is very different from the Patriots. With Cam Newton being a much more mobile quarterback the Broncos will have to come up with a completely different and opposite game plan to carry out what they did before. Can they do it? Sure but the question is will they be able to execute it. I say that no they will not be able to. At least not for the whole game.
I think that the Broncos will be able to keep it close. I do not see this game being a blow out. I also do not see them being able to win this game. The Panthers are just too good on offense this year and their defense is going to be good enough to hold the Broncos point total down.
