MLB Postseason got off to a fantastic start last night. The Rockies and the Cubs put on a 13 inning cliff hanger. The game ended with the Rockies winning 2 – 1.
This is they type of game that shows why the one game wildcard works. With it being an all or nothing game both teams are truly going for it. There is no reason to hold back since for the loser there is no tomorrow. If you loose tomorrow you are done for the season.
Cubs Difficult Road
The Cubs had a difficult road. They played three games in three different time zones. Some are saying that is just not fair. They had no chance. Yeah sure. Life is not fair and they played well in this game and lost by one run in 13 innings. That is nothing to hang your head low about. Yes it sucks that their season is over. If they did not want to be in this game then you know what. That game in April they lost by one run – it mattered you should have won it.
MLB Postseason Continues
The MLB Postseason will continue tonight with what looks like it could be another amazing game. The Athletics against the Yankees. It will be difficult for this game to live up to the Rockies Cubs game. It could though and no matter what. Even if it is a blow out it will still have the same excitement. I head someone say but this is just manufactured excitement. Yes you are correct it is manufactured and it is exciting. That is what it is supposed to be. My answer to that is wow Einstein you figured that one out all by yourself. do you want a cookie?
Once the wildcard games are done we go to the best of 7 series. That is how it should be.
